Early in the fist verse of my song, “Why Weren’t We Warned” you’ll find these two lines:
“Like Venezuela, just a few short days,
The President smiled, as missiles blaze”
That was the official story at the start of the war. Here’s a clip:
And the war went beyond his statement that it would be over in just a few short weeks.
The goalposts were moved from just a couple of weeks to “over in mid summer.” Remember him claiming that Iran was begging for a deal? Was that really true?
“But the truth was kept hidden,
The lies in control.
The crisis kept building”
Here’s a post on x.com from today that revisits what was said this this summer when the “news kept talking about a deal” (a line from verse 2) and the President, his top advisors and all the mainstream media were talking about an “Oil glut“:
“The crisis kept building.”
And now, here we are in the second week of September and the goalposts have been moved again. The President is currently saying that the Iran war will end after the election and gas prices will come down then:
Anyone want to bet that after the election, the goalposts will be moved again?
